Kingstown, St Vincent (CMC) — Three people, including a 91-year-old man, were killed after the motor vehicle in which they were travelling went over a cliff late Sunday night, police said.
The three – Denzil Johnson, an employee of the telecommunications company, LIME, 91-year-old George Johnson and Lcyna Johnson, believed to be relatives – were returning from a funeral when the tragedy occurred.
Police said the motor vehicle went over the cliff in Troumaca as they were heading back to Spring Village from a funeral in Chateaubelair. Two of the three people died instantly while the third died while receiving medical treatment.
The motor vehicle landed on another section of the road hundreds of feet below, blocking traffic in both directions.
