Abigail Liburd pursues Bachelor’s Degree at University of Delhi

Basseterre St.Kitts, July 31, 2012: On Monday, 2nd July, Abigail Liburd left the federation of St Kitts and Nevis to pursue studies in Delhi, India. After arrival on the 4th of July she was engrossed in a hands on approach orientation to life in Delhi.

Liburd who is a teacher by profession and beauty queen contestant having taking part and placed first (1st) runner up in Miss National Carnival 2010, has been admitted to the prestigious University of Delhi, where she is enrolled in BA (Hons) in Political Science.

She is the first of our federation to have been awarded the Indian Council of Cultural Relations BA program scholarship.

The scholarship provides, tuition, accommodation, airfare and monthly stipend.

Abigail has assured that the experience in Delhi has been enlightening and culturally engaging. Her teachers and classmates are enthused by her very presence, as she has been suggested to contest in school elections.

Abigail was fortunate to have also been awarded a scholarship to Taiwan but after consideration she chose India.
