All Set for Round Island Relay
One of the chief organizers of the second annual round the island relay, James Weekes, on Wednesday evening indicated that everything is pretty much set for the event which is scheduled for Monday 5th May.
According to Weekes, some ten teams have registered thus far and the registration deadline has been extended until Friday May 2nd.
In the ten registered teams are five adult teams and five school teams. Two of the adult teams are from outside of Nevis with one coming out of St.Kitts and another coming out of Antigua.
The registration fee for adult teams is $500.00, while the school teams will pay $250.00
The race commences at the ET Willet Park at 8am and the athletes will exchange batons which will include all ten team players running towards the Four Seasons resort to the first baton station and ending at the ET Willet park, where there will be a grand buffet styled breakfast for the athletes and a presentation ceremony.
