Anastasia Wins 5th Female Bacchanal Crown

ZIZ News…Dec 18 2011 – Queen Anastasia was crowned Calypso Queen for the 5th time on early Sunday morning at carnival village.

Queen Anastasia has retained the Female Calypso crown following her performance in the 2011 Female Calypso Bacchanal.

The seasoned campaigner captivated the audience with a powerful rendition of ‘I love Kaiso’ scoring 242 points with the Judges.

Newcomer Queeny G placed first runner up with an aggregate score of 391 and Singing Jackie took the second runner up spot with an aggregate score of 389.

These scores were tabulated to break a tie between the two calypsonians.

Finally, Lady Diva who performed ‘Rock the boat’ placed 3rd runner up.

Joining the crop of female calypsonians were three guest artistes, recently crowned junior Calypso Monarch Singing Solution, reigning Trinidad Calypso Monarch Karene Asche and reigning St. Lucia Calypso Monarch Menel.
