Annual Cross Channel Swim set for Sunday

The excitement is mounting as the day for the annual cross channel swim between St. Kitts and Nevis approaches.

Race day is set for Sunday 30th March.

The 12th annual event will commence at the Oualie Beach Hotel at 8am sharp.

Chief coordinator of the event, Winston Crooke indicated on Thursday that everything is in place for the grand event but was still anticipating that some person twill register as late as Friday into Saturday.

So far, some 168 persons have already registered and this comprises of individuals from the USA, Canada, England, Nevis, St. Kitts, Antigua, St. Maarten, Barbados and Trinidad.

Crooke also noted that quite a number of the swimmers are current students at some of the American based universities situated within the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Late registrants will now have to pay $75.00 US and this will include T-shirts and other items and a grand breakfast at Reggae Beach where the two and a half miles swim will culminate.
