Annual Kite Flying Contest very much on

Sports Page — Mr. Alsted Pemberton, President of the long serving SJCIC community grouping confirmed on Monday that the annual kite flying competition hosted by his club, is definitely on.

The event will be held at its home ground, the FLATS in Cole Hill Friday 3rd April—Good Friday and is scheduled to commence at 12.00 noon.

Prizes will be given to first and second placers in the following categories: Biggest kite; best designed kite; highest flying kite; most creative kite and best book leaf kite.

The registration fee per individual is just $5.00.

Added attractions on the day will be the usual sale of local goodies such as cassava bread; potato pudding and conkie.

Musical entertainment will be provided throughout the day and the bouncing castle will be available for the children.

Additionally, for the adults, there will be cricket and domino competitions.

Pemberton is urging the general public to come out and enjoy what is indeed a family outing.
