Another accolade for Sir Edmund from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JANUARY 1ST 2013 (CUOPM) – Hours before he assumes the role of Governor General of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, Sir Edmund Wickham has received another accolade.

Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas in delivering his New Year’s message told the Nation, that in keeping with practice and custom, Her Majesty the Queen has approved his appointment to the Office and has conferred upon Sir Edmund, the Grand Cross of the Order of St. Michael and St. George (GCMG).

“I have no doubt the country will reap great benefits from the outstanding intellect and solid experience of Sir Edmund. We congratulate Sir Edmund, Lady Hulda Lawrence and children,” said Prime Minister Douglas.

In 2010, Sir was made a Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George for his services in banking and financial services.
