Attempted Robbery; Incident of Wounding

Basseterre, St. Kitts—17th September, 2013–Police on Nevis are investigating an overnight incident that occurred at Brown Hill in which three men attempted to rob a Bath Village resident. The resident, in an attempt to disarm one of the assailants received a non-fatal gunshot wound. Nothing of monetary value was taken during the incident. The injured resident was transported to the hospital.

Anyone who has any information pertaining to this incident is ask to call the Violent Crime Unit (VCU) at 469-5392, Ext. 27, or, any police station, or, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477. Remember, you information will be treated with confidence, and you may be eligible to receive a reward.

In other news, police on Nevis are investigating fights overnight which occurred at Enrique’s Bar that resulted in two (2) persons being injured and transported to the hospital.

The injured persons are Vaughan Parris of Stoney Grove and Lawvinton Forbes of Hamilton Road.

The police are asking everyone attending these events over the weekend to please conduct themselves accordingly.
