According to the Executive Director, Nevis Historical Conservation Society (NHCS), Evelyn Henville, one year has passed since the publication of the book that was a heartfelt tribute to Richard and Maureen Lupinacci and the Hermitage.

“The first edition disappeared from shelves very quickly and so this Author’s Night event can be considered as a pre-second edition celebration.  Since more information has come to light in the past year, not only about Hermitage but Nevis too, Dr. June Goodfield, will bring us up to date and pose a few questions for our consideration,” Henville said.

Henville further said: “The historical significance of Hermitage – one of the oldest plantation houses in the Caribbean is undeniable.  Hermitage remained in the ownership of one family for over 300 years, and was restored with loving care by another. Both events are remarkable and both deserve celebration. So come and celebrate with us.”
