Basseterre Magistrate fine two persons for cocaine possession to the tune of thirty five thousand dollars

ZIZ News…Nov. 5, 2012 — Two persons will have to fork up thirty five thousand dollars for cocaine possession or serve time in jail.

Debbie Kaplan of St. Christopher Club, Frigate Bay was convicted for the offence of Possession of Cocaine, which was committed on 24th September 2012, and fined $5000.00 forthwith or in default spend six months in prison.

Debbie Kaplan Leon “Big Dread” Henry

Leon “Big Dread” Henry of Upper College Street was convicted for the offences of Possession of Crack Cocaine, which was committed on 24th September 2012. For Possession of Crack Cocaine, he was fined $15,000.00 to be paid in one week or in default will be confined in prison for eighteen months with hard labour. For Possession of Cocaine, he was fined $15,000.00 to be paid in one week or in default spend eighteen months in prison. Sentence to run consecutively.

According to a police press release, the $420.00 in cash that was seized from him is forfeited to the Crown and paid into Treasury.

Meanwhile, at the Sandy Point Magistrate Court Kimwell Matthew of Saddlers was convicted for the offence of Disorderly Conduct by Making Noise, which committed on 1st May 2012 at Sandy Point and was ordered to pay a fine of $600.00 by 30th November 2012 or in default spend thirty days in prison with hard labour.

Clivorn “Kashman” Desuza of Cleverly Hill, Sandy Point was convicted for the offence of Possession of Cannabis at G spot which was committed on 20th November 2011 and was sentenced to serve two months in prison with hard labour.

And at the Charlestown Magistrate’s Court Mickell Bourne and Vince Ferlance of Bath Village were convicted for the offence of Building Breaking and Larceny, which was committed between 5th and 6th February 2012. Both men were ordered to pay compensation of $5000.00 each to the victim in three months or in default spend eighteen months in prison with hard labour.

Patrick Hendrickson of Butlers Village was convicted for the offence of Larceny of Cattle to Wit One Black and White Sheep, which was committed on 21st May 2012 at Butler, and was sentenced to two years imprisonment with hard labour.
