Brazil Meat Ban Stays in Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago isn’t about to follow Barbados and Jamaica in lifting the temporary ban on the importation and sale of meat products from Brazil.

Agriculture Minister Clarence Rambharat says it will stay.
Earlier this week, Barbados lifted the corned beef ban which was imposed after meat processors in the South American country were found to be using rotten beef and poultry and bribed health officials to issue fraudulent inspection reports.
