British group experiences and familiarizes themselves with St. Kitts and Nevis

Basseterre, St. Kitts (CUOPM) — An 11-member group of travel agents, tour operators and a journalist from the United Kingdom is on a tour of the twin-island Federation.

The group is jointly sponsored by the St. Kitts Tourism Authority and the Nevis Tourism Authority.

The group arrived last Tuesday on British Airways, and was treated to an extraordinary entry through the YU Lounge Private Jet Terminal at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport.

The St. Kitts Tourism Authority said the visit is part of an intensive promotional drive – themed “Know the UK; Grow the UK” – aimed at raising the profile of the destination amongst the UK travel industry to drive visitation and growth for 2015 and beyond.

Chief Executive Officer of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, Ms. Racquel Brown, said the aim of the visit is to allow the participants to experience the island and familiarize themselves with the accommodation and visitor experience product.

“We expect that this visit will build on our newly established relationships with the UK trade, help to secure new partnerships and develop new business for the destination,” CEO Brown said.

The visiting group is made up of the following participants: Noakes, Mr. Gary – TTG publication; Albiol/Ms Annemarie – Caribtours; Harris/Ms Rachel – Kuoni; Moore/Ms. Susan – Newmont Travel; Fereira/Ms. Sara Rafaela – Prestige Caribbean; Tjurina/Mrs. Vilena – Quintessentially Travel Group; Dobson/Ms. Gemma – Scott Dunn; Woods/Ms. Amber – The Lotus Group; Palmer/Mr. Martin – Travelday; Griffin/Mr. Patrick – Wexas and Tennant/ Ms Nicki – BA Holidays
