Sports Page — Carlon Tuckett of Nevis was the ultimate star as the touring Barbados Under 11 cricket team won over the Middlesex under 11 boys team.
This as the Barbados touring squad commenced their tour in England.
The Middlesex under 11 boys batted first and managed 157 for 8 in 45 overs. T. Bannister top scored with 35.
For the touring team, C. Simmons and J Bethel got 2 wickets each.
When the Barbadian team batted, they found themselves in a dicey situation at 53 for 3. However, Carlon Tuckett teamed up with J. Bethel in an enterprising partnership which yielded some 106 runs. They were only separated with four runs required for the victory target, when Tuckett was out for 53.
Bethel remained not out on 49 when the victory was achieved.
