Central Basseterre events continue this weekend

ST. KITTS, JANUARY 27TH 2011 (CUOPM) – Minister of Health, Social and Community Development and Gender Affairs, the Hon. Marcella Liburd, hosts netball and basketball tournaments on Friday 28th January, as part of activities to mark the first anniversary of her election as an elected member of the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly.

The former Senator and Speaker in the National Assembly will host a mini-netball tournament for Primary Schools at the Pam Tyson Netball Complex, Warner Park, at 1 P.M. and a Basketball Tournament at Dorsett Park at 5:30 P.M..

Activities continue on Saturday with a flea market on the Bird Rock side of the Kim Collins Highway starting at 6 A.M.

Minister Liburd, who made history by winning all boxes in the January 25th 2010 general elections since National Hero, the Right Excellent Sir Robert L. Bradshaw, will lead constituents to a Church Service at the Zion Moravian Church on Sunday 30th January at 9:30 A.M.

The week of activities started on Monday with a Health Talk at Masses House by Cuban-trained local physical Dr. Garfield Alexander, a clean up in the Prickly Pear Alley and a walk-thru of the constituency.
