Champs for Charity donates to PALS

(ZIZ News) — Local non-profit organization Champs for Charity made its first donation in the area of health on Monday to the Paediatric Assistance League Of St. Kitts (PALS) in the amount of $5000.

Chairperson of Champs for Charity Shirley Julius pledged the organization’s ongoing assistance to PALS in the future.

She said, “On behalf of Champs for Charity Foundation, we wish today to hand over to PALS, a check in the amount of 5000 dollars. We recognise your ongoing efforts to try to secure funds for medical treatment and healthcare and so we have come onboard as platinum sponsor and we pledge our assistance to help.”

President of PALS Giselle Matthews thanked the organization for its support and assistance to children in the Federation.

“Thank you to Champs for thinking of us and thank you from the children of St. Kitts and the families who are very grateful for your assistance,” she said.

The donation was made possible through the organization’s hosting of an event in June.

Treasurer of Champs for Charity Candice Caines thanked those who contributed to the success of the event.

“I just want to say a hearty thank you to everyone in the community who helped us to make this contribution to pals possible. Last month we staged our very first fundraiser the Bangarang show featuring Shabada Ramsey and this contribution of $5000 towards PALS could not have been possible without the hundreds of patrons who came out and supported us. We also had on board over 43 sponsors throughout the community,” she said.

The Champs for Charity Foundation was established to provide financial and other assistance to members and groups throughout the communities of St. Kitts and Nevis in the areas of health, education, and socio-economic development.
