CIBC First Caribbean salutes staff and clients on Employee Appreciation Day

St.Kitts, May 24, 2017 – CIBC First Caribbean recently celebrated two of its most valued assets – it employees and clients.

In recognition of Employee and Client Appreciation Day the red carpet was rolled out for staff, clients and others doing business at both the St. Kitts and Nevis branches. Later in the evening a special cocktail reception was held to honour the remarkable efforts of the bank’s employees.

Enthusiasm and warm smiles greeted loyal customers as they filed into the well-decorated halls of the bank as the St. Kitts-Nevis branches joined with other branches across the region in celebrating Customer Appreciation Day on May 15th, 2017.

The day was chosen since it also coincided with the bank’s parent company CIBC’s, 150th anniversary.

Throughout the day customers were treated to a variety of sweet and savoury goodies and several walked away with prizes, branded gifts items and other CIBC FirstCaribbean “swag.”

“I want to thank the CIBC FirstCaribbean for this token of appreciation. I am delighted with the gift and everything else that the Bank has done for me,” said one appreciative customer.

Employee Keija Mills-Ible, said, “setting aside a day to recognize staff makes us feel appreciated. It does not only motivate us to continue to do our best, but this day brings us closer together and is a reminder that we are part of an amazing team.”

The celebration was a worldwide event led by CIBC Canada. Employees from all the bank’s branches and units in the 17 countries in which CIBC FirstCaribbean operates, hosted various employee and client activities.

CIBC has been serving the Caribbean since 1920. The first CIBC branches in the West Indies were established in Bridgetown, Barbados and in Kingston, Jamaica. Branches were also opened in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Havana, Cuba the same year.
