(ZIZ News) – Hundreds of Culturama revellers assembled at the Nevis Cultural Complex on Sunday for the annual Ms. Culture Queen Pageant where the Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis’ Clayticia Daniel captured the crown.
The new Miss Culture 2016 won the Best Cultural Icon Speech segment, the swimsuit appearance, the evening gown and on stage interview segment amassing a total of 1007 points.
Miss FLOW, Xarriah Browne followed behind in the 1st runner up position with 970 while also being named Miss Photogenic.
The other contestants were Miss SKNA National Bank’s, Phillichar Hobson who won the best performing talent and received the People’s Choice Award while the Miss Congeniality award went to Miss Carib Brewery St. Kitts-Nevis Ltd Perla Gumbs.
The Culturama 42 activities continued on Monday with the Herbert’s Beach Affair, now in its 20th year, the FLOW Miss Caribbean Culture Queen Pageant later this evening and the King of the Turntables Culturama DJ Competition.
The Grand Street Parade and Last Lap events are set for Tuesday August 2 in downtown Charlestown.
