Commissioner Walwyn to receive Special Recognition In Mexico

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 05, 2013 (SKNIS): The effective strategy to reduce crime in St. Kitts and Nevis and upgrade law enforcement capabilities within the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has drawn praise from the Federal Police of the Republic of Mexico.

In a letter dated June 24, 2013 to St. Kitts and Nevis Commissioner Celvin G. Walwyn, Commissioner General Enrique Francisco Galindo Ceballos wrote, “Mexico Federal Police is proud of the ties of friendship and cooperation that join our institutions, and most particularly, the renewed leadership showed during your honourable management. Considering the above, I am pleased to inform you [of] our desire to give you a special recognition.”

As such, an invitation was extended for Commissioner Walwyn to attend the “solemn ceremony and acts of celebration” in commemoration of the 85th anniversary of Mexico’s Federal Police to be held from July 12 to 14.

“It will be an honour to have you on this important occasion,” the letter from General Commissioner Galindo Ceballos said.
