Dance Xplosion Finals This Saturday

Basseterre, St. Kitts – The Rotary Club of Liamuiga (RCL) will host the Finals for its first ever young adult dance competition, “Dance Xplosion – This Is Your Chance2Dance!” this Saturday November 17th, 2012 at the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium, ECCB commencing at 7 p.m.

The five finalists are:

Rhythmz Dance Theatre of Nevis,

3HB Rebirth Dance Crew,

Music in Motion,

Earlyn Pierre from St. Kitts and

Rolston Ryan also of St. Kitts.

Dance Xplosion will be hosted by EK ‘The Real Right’ of Freedom FM with guest performances by St. Kitts Best Dancers, Latin sensation Samuel Phipps and much more!

Dance Xplosion’s dance genres are: (1) SOCA/CALYPSO, (2) DANCEHALL/REGGAE, (3) AFRO-CARIBBEAN/AFRICAN and (4) FREESTYLE (Any dance style other than genres 1-3). Dancers from both St. Kitts and Nevis will seek to win the judges’ approval when they present 3 routines from the 4 dance genres.

“With over $5,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs, we know that all the dancers will be bringing their best moves,” said RCL President Lester Hanley. “So I encourage the general public to come out and support these young adults as they express themselves positively through dance.”

Admission for the Dance Xplosion Finals is Adults – $20 and Children – $10. Tickets are available from Plush Accessories on Cayon St., Steppin Fine Leather on Fort St., Department of Culture, Victoria Rd., Sweet Lime Restaurant on Port Zante, MoJo Frozen Novelties at the Caribbean Cinemas Complex, Warner’s One Stop in Bird Rock and members of the Rotary Club of Liamuiga.

RCL extends appreciation to their corporate partners in service: Warner’s One Stop, St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA), Caribbean Credit Card Corporation (4 C’s), Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis, Sweet Lime Restaurant and LIME.

Proceeds from this event will go towards Rotary Club of Liamuiga youth and community development projects.
