Digi Double, RoadShow, Golf & Karaoke – a packed weekend with the Bigger, Better Network!

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (June 1st, 2012) – While some persons spent the Whit holiday weekend indoors, others enjoyed it with the Digicel Team at various functions and events. Each day from Friday May 25th to Monday May 28th, Digicel offered its customers in St. Kitts and Nevis, something extra to remember and enjoy.

Digicel customers were seen rushing to the stores on Fort Street and Solomon’s Arcade, Nevis, early Friday morning after they got word of the Digi Double top-up offer of the day. Digicel prepaid customers who topped up their phones with any amount, between 9am and 10am and 3pm – 4pm at these flagship stores were treated to double credit, which could be used to call and text anyone, anywhere. Long queues could be seen at both Digicel locations, with very curious and thankful customers. Later in the day from 5pm to 6:00pm customers also visited Rum Barrel on Port Zante for more FREE double credit & cash in on the extra credit to keep in touch over the holiday weekend.

On Saturday May 26th, the Digicel Crew then journeyed to Stapleton Village with the staff of WINN FM, for the outside broadcast of Caribbean Pepperpot. Of course, the Digi Team did not go empty-handed, rather bearing Coral 185 handsets for sale at a Whit weekend price of just $50. While at S&D Bar, the location of the outside broadcast, new and old Digicel customers purchased handsets, top-ups, took part in the exciting giveaways and shared a few jokes with the Digicel Team and Digi Girls.

That very same day, the St. Kitts Open 2012, sponsored by Digicel, ‘teed off’ with over 150 avid Golfers from across the region. Digicel’s sponsorship package of EC$10,000 in cash and prizes, ensured the success of the two day Johnny Walker Tournament. Barbadian golfer, James Johnson, the 2011 Overall Champion was once again victorious.
