Digicel shares SMILES with children at St. Christopher Children’s Home

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (December 17, 2012) -This Christmas Season, Digicel has been bringing SMILES to the faces of its customers in St. Kitts and Nevis. One such opportunity was last week Tuesday, December 11th where Digicel made the hearts of the children at the St. Christopher Children’s Home smile during the company’s annual Christmas visit. The entire Digicel Team, including Country Manager, Sean Latty, brought gifts and food for the children and shared some quality time getting to know each child.

Similar to previous years, there was not a dull moment that evening as the children were very excited to see the Digicel Team once again. It was earlier in the year during the Easter holidays, that the dynamic Digicel Crew visited the Home and presented kites to each child and journeyed to Frigate bay for Party Central’s kite-flying event. The girls and boys were eager to open their Christmas presents but promised the Digicel Team that they would wait until Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, 2012. The evening got underway with the blessing of the Christmas treat by an energetic 11 year-old boy before enjoying the meal that was prepared. The evening would not have been complete without singing some Christmas carols, which was led by the children of the Home with the Digicel ‘back-up’ singers.

“The smiles on your faces here tonight have made the entire Digicel Family smile and we hope that you will have a great Christmas when it comes,” said Sean Latty, Country Manager while speaking at the visit to the home. “The Digicel Management and staff would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and truly hope that you will enjoy these gifts which are given with lots of love and are gifts of the heart.”

The Digicel Family in St. Kitts and Nevis wishes the people of the Federation a Merry Christmas and implores everyone to spread SMILES across the Federation during the season. “It is through giving that we receive great rewards, so we encourage everyone to reach out to those persons in our communities who are in need during this time,” expressed Latty. Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis will continue to support and uplift the communities we serve in the year ahead, ensuring that at the end of the day, Digicel will make you SMILE!
