Basseterre, St. Kitts (CUOPM) — St. Kitts and Nevis has saluted the Prime Minister the Hon. Roosvelt Skerrit and the affable people of The Commonwealth of Dominica on the 36th Anniversary of Nationhood.
“Despite the global economic and social challenges, the Nature Isle continues to experience, under your astute leadership, the blessings of Almighty God,” said Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.
In his congratulatory message to mark the milestone, Dr. Douglas said that the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis and the Commonwealth of Dominica have long enjoyed cordial relations based on mutual respect for the rule of law, human rights and the democratic ideal.
“Our bonds of friendship have been further strengthened through regional integration mechanisms and programmes, and we look forward to continuing to work with you in these endeavours. It is therefore my fervent prayer that you will continue to experience God’s guidance and rich blessings as you continue to lead your country and people into a period of prosperity despite the trying times. As one member of CARICOM to another, I avail myself, Prime Minister, to extend best wishes to you and the people of The Commonwealth, and to renew to you the assurances of my highest consideration and esteem,” said Prime Minister Douglas.
