Drone technology at Agriculture Open Day 2016

(ZIZ News) — The Agriculture Open Day is a forum that gives local entrepreneurs and businesses the opportunity to showcase their goods or services.

Each year sees new innovations unveiled and this year was no exception, with the showcasing of drone technology by drone technician and pilot Gregory Wharton.

According to Wharton, drones can play a significant role in the agriculture sector.

“There’s a number of things that can be done with drones in agriculture, UAVs and agriculture and even beyond agriculture and I’m hoping that the federation wants to adopt these technologies into their society,” he said.

Wharton showcased the drones at the fair, giving patrons the opportunity to see them fly.
