Fatisha Imo to represent the federation at Miss World festival celebrations

ZIZ News…June 24, 2010 – The Miss World St. Kitts Nevis Executive Committee is proud to announce that Miss Fatisha Anita Imo will represent the Federation at the 60th Miss World festival celebrations that will be held in Vietnam between Sunday 3rd October and Saturday 6th November 2010.

The 120 nations represented in the Miss World Festival 2010 will also tour Vietnam, following in the fundraising foot-steps of Julia Morley, Mr. Kieu Hoang and our Miss World winners, to raise money to help sick and disadvantaged children. They will play a fundamental role in bringing ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ to the fore.

During the festival, the Miss World 2010 contestants will travel around the country, sampling the many rich delights Vietnam has to offer, participating in a number of special events, as well as joining in with the celebrations for the 1000 year anniversary of the city of Hanoi.

The 22 year old beauty is no stranger to the stage having placed 1st runner up in the 2007-2008 National Carnival Queen Pageant (St.Kitts/Nevis), 3rd runner up in the 2008 Miss Caribbean Queen Culture Pageant, and received Best Performing Talent in the 2010 Miss Caribbean World Pageant. Haley Cassius, her Godmother and chaperone who represented the Federation in the Miss World Pageant in 1988. The former 2007-08 National Carnival Queen, Samantha Boone, and the reigning Miss UDC Talented Teen 2009-10, Zinga Imo are also evidence of her determination and devotion for pageantry.

Currently Miss Imo attends the Midwestern State University, where she is doing a double major in Accounting and Spanish and dreams of one day of providing sound financial assistance to businesses across the Caribbean region.

Fatisha recently completed a two days Modeling work shop with Lu Sierra – best runway coach in the world, supermodel coach for Miss USA & Miss Universe, trainer of FORD’s Super Model Of The World winners. Lu is also one of Elite Model Management top talents and a modeling coach for different world modeling agencies.

World famous Jamaican designers Karl Williams and Mark McDermoth of Uzuri International have graciously agreed to assist Miss Imo with her wardrobe. Further, the Miss World St. Kitts Nevis Executive Committee is inviting local designers to submit designs in bathing suits, cocktail dresses and casual wear hereby giving Kittitians a chance to showcase their talents.

Fatisha will be hosting a Dance Workshop entitled “I Feel Like Dancing” from July 5th – 9th and 12th – 16th. The Workshop is dedicated to provide a positive dance environment that will allow every student to reach his or her highest potential. It will provide high quality instructions in all facets of dance, modeling, fashion, and pageant consultancy. From an educational standpoint, “I Feel Like Dancing” will promote self-worth, confidence, teamwork and lifetime achievements, which will benefit students in all areas of education and leadership.
