ZIZ News…Nov 16, 2012 — The Miss World St. Kitts and Nevis Organization will be hosting a recruiting Event on Saturday November 17th dubbed “GIRLS ON FIRE”. This is the first of a series of recruiting campaigns for 2013 contestants for a Miss World St. Kitts Nevis Pageant.

The event will be held at Cloud 9 on Port Zante and starts at 10:00 pm. The evening promises to be high-fashion with an electrifying red theme and very exciting for patrons. The theme “Girls on Fire” comes from a very popular song Alicia Keys. “Girl on Fire” is a song that promotes women empowerment and that is the aim of the Miss World SKN organization. Also, the contestant who represents St. Kitts and Nevis next year in the Miss World Pageant will be travelling to Indonesia. Very coincidental, Indonesia is a part of the “Ring of Fire” which is the world’s countries with the largest volcanoes.

“Girls on Fire” will be hosted by the lovely Miss World St. Kitts-Nevis 2012: Miss Markysa O’Loughlin.

Miss O’Loughlin explains “My experience to China was life changing. Since I’ve returned I’ve continued making several appearances and used my credentials to be socially active in several community organizations.” She continued “This is an experience I’ll never forget and like Eversley Liburd and Joan Maillard ensured I was prepared to compete in China, I want to ensure that some other deserving young lady gets the opportunity to be in this regard. I hope young ladies come out in their red.

The admission for Girls on Fire is $25 EC before midnight and $30 after. Ladies are encouraged to dress in red and they will enter for $25 all night.

There is a special prize to be won as well for best dressed female and other giveaways. The first 20 females will receive a glass of red wine on entrance and also the ladies who indicate their interest in being Miss World SKN 2013.
