Government reviewing annual increases

PMDouglasAskThePMD(ZIZ) Some good news for civil servants as the Prime Minister announces plans to review how incremental pay increases are evaluated and calculated.

During Tuesday’s edition of “Ask the PM”, Prime Minister the Right Hon Dr Denzil Douglas told a caller that the salary increases are under review and they will take into account each employee’s performance.

Earlier the Prime Minister had announced a ten percent increase for government workers over the next three years.

He says they will also work on upgrading the salaries on the lower end of the pay scale.

Government plans to increase civil servants salaries by four percent in 2014 followed by three percentage increases in 2015 and 2016.
