Guyana police find body of kidnapped businessman

GEORGETOWN, Guyana (CMC) – The police in Guyana confirmed that the body of a 40-year-old businessman who was kidnapped last weekend was found in a cemetery on Wednesday.

Reports are that the body of Rajendra “Sunil” Singh, a car dealer, was found by a City Council worker and that it bore a gunshot wound to the head.

The kidnappers had demanded GUY$25 million for the return of the East Coast Demerara businessman who had been abducted in front of his business place and bundled into his motor car which was later found abandoned.
