Hurricane board game

(ZIZ News) — Students at Cayon High are learning about hurricane preparedness through a new board game created and designed by Kittitian Bernard Wattley.

Wattley presented the board game to the school during a brief ceremony on Friday morning.

The game is called “Into The Eye” and Wattley said he’s happy to share the game with his alma mater, Cayon High School.

“It is a project which has been in the works for some time. But which came to fruition a few years ago. But this is my first time home since then. So I’m taking the opportunity to introduce it to the Education Department here and as I’ve just done I’ve donated a class set, so to speak, to the Cayon High School,” he said.

Principal of Cayon High Francil Morris thanked Wattley for the donation and spoke of how important it is to be prepared for natural disasters

“We have been having our own simulations as it relates to storms, tsunamis, earthquakes and of course our hurricane season begins in June and ends in November and all of us should be prepared for the time whenever a storm comes our way,” he said.
