ICT Training for Police

Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 8, 2012 — Police officers have been undergoing training for a Crime Information Management System.

The system is expected to streamline the collection and management of information recorded at the police station.

Keisha Archibald ICT Development Coordinator said the system will improve the efficiency and productivity of the Police as they carry out their day to day activities.

Three representatives of the SAS Institute Inc, out of the U.S. have been brought in to facilitate the sessions.

Tomorrow the group will hold a high level meeting with government officials including Commissioner Celvin Walwyn and Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s ministry, Her Excellency Astona Browne.
