Innovative service offers summer fun and learning opportunities

ZIZ News…June 25 2012 — Newly formed company Innovative Education and Training Solutions is hosting its first summer camp under the theme ‘Old Time Days meet New Tech Age’. Founder of the company, Tamu Petra Browne stated that the camp which will be held from July 16th to July 27th for children ages 5 to 12 is designed to “meld fun and education through innovative activities”.

Week one of the camp features an education of our heritage through play, craft and field trips. Campers will make toys used by their grandparents; engage in puppet making and treasure hunt activities all with a historical context. In week two campers will learn technology based skills suitable for the twenty first century. The Mini Explorers will learn to make blogs and glogs, build environmentally friendly cities as they learn about being green along with a number of other exciting and interesting activities.

Ms. Browne indicated that her company has many other innovative ventures, including the launch of her online classroom at www.innovativetraining.webs.com. The service offers classes that will prepare students to write Management of Business and Information Technology at CXC’s Advanced Level, also known as C.A.P.E. Ms. Browne, who has taught the courses at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College in St.Kitts since 2006, indicated that she saw a niche in the market for persons unable to schedule traditional classes. “It seemed clear to me that persons were eager to upgrade their skills but often the obligations of family and career made it impossible, and so my service provides a solution”.

Any person in any island can now register on the site innovativetraining.webs.com for online classes that are either delivered directly to his email inbox, or that can be taken in the virtual classroom, whichever he prefers. There are a variety of payment options including PayPal payments. For each course students will also receive a free copy of her electronic study guide which Ms. Browne has authored and self published, exclusive access to online earning resources and direct access to her YouTube channel which features course lectures.

“I love teaching but I love the learning process even more. I am convinced that there are innovative ways to facilitate the learning process, and my service Innovative Education and Training Solutions aims to do just that. I will also be delivering Entrepreneurship and Website development workshops and I am currently creating a module to assist teachers with infusing technology into the teaching, testing and measurement process. As a certified educator I am passionate about empowering others through education but education is worth little, if it cannot be accessed and so my service will hopefully provide more access for those desirous of gaining Advanced Level qualifications in the region”.
