Sports Page — The national athletic championships will take place at the Km Collins athletic stadium this coming weekend and one of the much anticipated star performers will be St.Kitts and Nevis’ top athlete, Kim Collins.
Representative athletes from St.Kitts and Nevis will compete as part of specific track clubs from the two islands.
Manager of the Titans track club in Nevis, Timothy Caines indicated on Tuesday that Kim Collins will be representing his club.
‘We go a long way back,’ stated Caines. ‘So when he asked me to allow him to represent the Titans, I was more than happy to oblige,’ he stated.
The full slate of athletes who will be representing the Titans in this weekend’s stellar event are:
Royston Queeley—100 and 200 meters-open males
Cyril Dutil—400 and 800 meters –open males
CJ Farrel—100, 200 and 400 meters in the under 18 category
Tijari Arthurton—100 and 200 meters –under 18
Shamar cianes—200 and 400 meters under 18
Tangela Dunrod-100 and 200 meters-under 18
Tenisha Perkins -100 and 200 meters –under 18
Vanessa Williams—800 and 1500 meters—open females’ category
Kim Collins-100 meters –open males
The Gladiators track club of Nevis, also released the names of their three competitors for the grand event:
Adrian Williams—Javelin—seniors category
Leroy Chapman—400 meters—under 18 category
T’ahj Liburd—400 meters –under 18 category
The event is expected to attract a bumper crowd as the top athletes on both islands will compete for supremacy.
