Kittitian obtains Masters at Florida International University

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, SEPTEMBER 29TH 2011 (CUOPM) – The family of Mrs. Cheryleann Maynard-Pemberton wishes to congratulate her on her recent achievement. Mrs. Pemberton, the wife of Mr. Lincoln Pemberton, has completed a Master’s in Business Administration at Florida International University (FIU), where she was admitted in 2009.

As a result of her outstanding performance, Mrs. Pemberton was inducted as a member of Phi Beta Delta. This prestigious award is usually bestowed upon students who excel in the international field.

Her MBA Class of 2011 also travelled to India on a work study attachment for two weeks where they were required to conduct a thorough analysis of India’s market and suggest future strategies for Siemens in Mumbai to be number one in 2015 in select business sectors.

Areas covered included a Financial Analysis, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Healthcare and Energy. She was part of the team that emerged as the most outstanding presentation among the other teams in the class.

Mrs. Pemberton was also recognized by the Madison Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals in New York as an individual who has reached a level of recognizable success in her respective field.

Her five-year Study Leave included her achievement of a Bachelor of Science Degree Cum Laude Honours. She also completed a Minor degree in Political Science, both at the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2009, where she was admitted in 2006.

Mrs. Pemberton has distinguished herself by being placed on the Dean’s Honours List for several semesters. She was also selected to participate in an internship program at the office of the Governor of Massachusetts, the Hon. Deval Patrick.

In 2008 she was awarded membership in the National Scholars Honour Society. This prestigious award is usually bestowed upon students who maintain a position in the top ten percent of their class. Later that same year she was honoured during an induction ceremony, where she accepted membership in Golden Key International Honour Society, at the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Mrs. Pemberton, who was born in Camps Village, St. Kitts, was the Personal Assistant to St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Hon Dr. Denzil L Douglas and she has always been regarded as a hard worker with clear ambitions and perseverance for success.

She has expressed sincere thanks to the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, and also her Boss, Prime Minister the Hon. Dr Denzil L. Douglas for affording her the opportunity to pursue further studies. Mrs. Pemberton has also expressed special thanks, and love for her husband, whom she described as her source of inspiration when she needed it most, as well as her son Gamaliel. Her husband, son, father and siblings are all happy to share in this most recent accomplishment.

Mrs. Pemberton is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society – the world’s premier collegiate Honour society, with more than 1.7 million members and over 360 chapters in the United States, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates. Membership into the Society is by invitation only to students in all fields of study.
