Andrea Wilson, Deeno Cumberbatch and Ralda Claxton Jr are three of the newest members of the Student Government Association (SGA) of UVI for the academic year 2014-2015.

Wilson is the new President, while Cumberbatch and Claxton will serve as Upper Class Senators.

The three, who are also members of the UVI St. Kitts-Nevis Association, have expressed their delight to form the new SGA.

DeenoCumberbatch+AndreaWilson+RaldaClaxtonJr-1In speaking with this media house, Wilson said that she is happy to be the voice of the students at UVI.

“I am happy to represent the students at UVI, because not only do students need a voice to speak out on their behalf but hands that can work and feet that will journey until their university experience is the one they were hoping it to be,” she said.

Wilson also said that she is glad to be able to serve with other countrymen.

She noted, “I am happy to work with my countrymen Deeno Cumberbatch and Ralda Claxton. What makes us different from the others is that we won’t make promises but we will work to bring success to all the challenges that the students face.”

The three were sworn in by UVI President David Hall at an official Installation Ceremony this week.
