Lighting Storm leaves residents without electricity

Residents of St. Kitts experienced an Island wide electricity shut down on Friday night as a result of a lightning storm that hit the Island.

According to a release from SKELEC, at approximately 8:10 pm on Friday October 26th there was an island wide outage and at 9:05pm power was restored to all areas with the exception of Conaree Beach area.

SKELEC also advised residents of the Conaree Beach area who were without electricity for several hours that their service will resume shortly as crews from the Electricity Company are replacing some damaged equipment from the lightning storm on Friday night.

SKELEC apologises for the any inconvenience caused.
