Man Found Unconscious With Bleeding Wound

(ZIZ)On Wednesday 20 November 2013 about 7:30 pm police officers responded to a report that a man was found lying on ground at Carty’s Alley unconscious with blood coming from his head.

Initial investigation revealed that the injured person is Eustace Audain of Fort Lands. He was transported to the hospital by the ambulance. One person is currently in police assisting with the investigation.

Meanwhile, On Wednesday 20th November 2013, Wayne Clarke of Nevis Street was convicted for  Larceny of  EC$32,354.73   which was committed during November 2011 at St. Kitts Tourism Authority. Mr. Clarke was employed at the St.Kitts Tourism Authority as Senior Accountant/ Finance Manager, and was in this area of work for twenty four (24) years.

The case was prosecuted by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Mr. Travers Sinanan and Crown Council Miss Greatess Gorden. The DPP in closing speech told the jury that Mr. Clarke abused his powers as acting CEO to steal the money and attempted to cover his tracks, and he had no intentions to repay the money; it was his intention to steal the money. The maximum penalty for this offence is seven (7) years imprisonment. Wayne Clarke was remanded in Her Majesty Prison, awaiting his sentence.

In other news, Dillon Pemberton of Prospect was convicted for Battery on Police which was allegedly committed on 13th October 2013 at Montserrat Village, Prospect, and fined $800.00 which is to be paid in three (3) months or in default will serve three (3) months in prison with hard labour.

Franchette Davis of Prospect was convicted for  Battery on Police which was allegedly committed at Montserrat Village, Prospect on 13th October 2013, and fined $800.00 which is to be paid in six (6) months or in default will serve six (6) months in prison with hard labour.

Oshain Williams of Brown Hill was convicted for Battery on Police which was allegedly committed at Montserrat Village Prospect on 13th October 2013, and fined $1000.00 which is to be paid in three (3) months or in default will serve three (3) months in prison with Hard Labour, ordered to pay compensation of $3000.00 in three (3) month or in default will serve eighteen (18) months in prison with hard labour.

Kevin Boone was convicted for throwing missiles which took place at Montserrat Village, Prospect on 13th October 2013 he was convicted and cautioned. He was ordered to pay compensation of $1000.00ECC in three months or in default serve twelve months imprisonment with hard labour.
