Marijuana Farm on Nevis raided

ZIZ News…27 8 2011 – The RSCNPF Nevis Division launched a successful operation in the Hamilton Estate area. Cpl Harris and men of the Special Task Force were able to locate and seize a marijuana farm on the 25/8/11 and has identified and arrested one Joseph Parry alias Isiah for offences under the Drug (Prevention of Misuse) Act.

Cpl Harris reported that 5000 marijuana plants were uprooted and seized ranging up to eleven feet in height with a total street value of approximately 4.5 million EC dollars.

The Divisional Commander Insp. H Brandy wishes on behalf of the high command to thank the general public and the officers in Nevis for their continued support in the fight against crime.

According to a Police Release photographs of the find were taken and the necessary processes for court action are ongoing. Further information would be provided as it becomes necessary.
