Minister Grant honours mothers

(ZIZ News) — Parliamentary representative for Constituency #4 the Hon Lindsay Grant spent much of Sunday honouring the mothers of his area.

Minister Grant hosted a Mother’s Day Luncheon at Sprat Net to say thank you to the mothers of his constituency.

“Constituency Four has been organizing a Mother’s Day Luncheon for the last seven years and this year is just another year in which we celebrate with the mothers. The mothers who have worked tirelessly and o we felt over the last couple of years it’s something to give back to the community and create some camaraderie and community spirit,” he said.

And for those older mothers who couldn’t make it to the luncheon Minister Grant and National Carnival Queen, Orngel Erskine visited their homes to deliver their care packages in person.

Minister Grant said the luncheon has typically catered for about 150 persons in the past and it is intended to be a regular annual event.
