Minister Skerritt on working visit to Taiwan

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, MAY 30TH 2013 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis’ Minister of Tourism, International Transport, International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Sen. the Hon. Richard “Ricky” Skerritt is on a working visit to the Republic of China (Taiwan).

Mr. Skerritt has been holding talks with several Ministers of Government including Minister of Transport and Communications, His Excellency Kuang-shih Yeh; Vice Minister of Economic Affairs, His Excellency Shih-chao Cho and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Ambassador Simon S.Y. Ko.

He also held discussions with the Executive Vice President of Taiwan External Trade Development Council, Mr. Walter M.S. Yeh and Vice Chairman of the Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA), Dr. Han-sun Chien and visited the 2013 Taipei Tourism Expo, the Taiwan Handicraft Promotion Center, Taiwan Excellence Showroom, China Steel Corporation, China Shipbuilding Corporation, Taiwan and the Port of Kaohsiung.

On Thursday Minister Skerritt will visit the Namchow Tourism Factory and Speedtech Energy Co. Ltd.

Visits will be made to the Civil Aeronautics and Administration and Taipei Songshan International Airport and the Art Yard on Friday.
