Motorists using new route linking St. Peter’s with F. T. Williams Highway

ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 8TH 2010 (CUOPM) – Motorists are now using the new road linking St. Peter’s, Stapleton and New Road to the F.T. Williams Highway via the BNTF road.The new 22 meters wide and 20 meters long bridge has been completed linking the 300 meters of road on the eastern and western sides of the bridge.

This section links the new route leading to New Road and St. Peter’s with the BNFT Shadwell Link Road on the western side of the runway of the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport.A statement from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force calls on motorists to be cautious on the road and to comply with traffic signs and the speed limit.

The Shadwell Round-a-bout which takes you East, South, West and North

The previous curved road at the end of the runway has been closed as the new route takes vehicular traffic to and from St. Peter’s right along the western extremities of the airport and into the BNTF Road leading to the new Shadwell round-a-bout on the Frederick T. Williams Highway.

From the Shadwell round-a-bout motorists can travel East towards Basseterre via the Gillard Gas Station round-a-bout; towards Conaree and Cayon and to Bird Rock, Frigate Bay and Basseterre via the airport round-a-bout; South towards Basseterre via Shadwell Housing and Greenlands; West towards Buckley’s, Camps, Old Road and Sandy Point via the round-about near the overpass and North towards Shadwell, Shadwell Gardens, Pine Gardens and Pleasant View.
