New housing programme expanding

(ZIZ)– Minister of Housing, The Hon Dr Earl Asim Martin has committed that the new Habitat Independence 30 Housing Programme will be expanded to every community.

The programme launched with a groundbreaking ceremony in Stonefort Estate and Minister Martin said there are plans for other sites over the next few weeks.

“We will be launching in highpoint in the Fig Tree area for the construction of homes there and when we would have completed there we would be going to Pine Gardens in Central Basseterre. We’ll be launching there on the 6th of May and we expect to move this all around the island,” he said.

He said the goal is to ensure that every village is touched by Habitat Independence 30 as they build one thousand homes for the people of the Federation.
