Personal disagreement leads to a young man nursing a gunshot wound to his hand

ZIZ News…Feb 24 02 2012 — A possible charge of SHOOTING WITH INTENT could be made against a young man for his part in a shooting incident on Thursday night around eleven thirty.

According to a Police Press release, a personal disagreement between two New Town men ended with one man receiving a bullet wound to the hand.

The shooter fled the scene but was arrested in one hour by the Delta Squad accompanied by Commissioner Walwyn. Crime Scene Technicians has processed the scene and one spent cartridge was retrieved.

The victim received treatment for his injuries at JNF Hospital and investigations are ongoing into this matter.

And earlier this morning Friday 24/02/12 at about 4:30 a.m some person(s) smashed the windscreen of Lanval Williams a Customs Officer and threw a firebomb inside. Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department and the fire and Rescue Services responded. Further information will be forthcoming as the investigation develops.

Meanwhile in other police updates—On Thursday February 23, officers of the Drug Unit RSCNPF executed a Search Warrant on the premises of Nakisha Francis and Eugene “Killer Cat” Davis both of Newton Ground for Controlled Drugs, Arms, and Ammunition.

The search turned up 972 grams of Cannabis which was found in the kitchen wrapped in a shower curtain and a portion of which was on a barrel.

Mr. Davis was arrested and taken into Police Custody with the Cannabis and was formally arrested and charged with the offence of POSSESSION OF CANNABIS AND POSSESSION OF CANNABIS WITH INTENT TO SUPPLY ANOTHER.

And officers of the Criminal Investigation Department has formally arrested and charged prisoner Melisa Lewis of St. Pauls on a Warrant in the First Instance for the offence of LARCENY BY SERVANT, which was committed between13/10/10 and 31/10/11 at Horsfords Building Centre. The prisoner was cautioned, issued with a copy of the Warrant and made no statements.
