PM Douglas on his way to St. Lucia for OECS Meeting

ST. KITTS, JUNE 17TH 2010 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister and Chairman of the Heads of Government of the Authority of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas is on his way to Castries, St. Lucia.

Prime Minister Douglas and his delegation left aboard a charter flight, which stopped at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, with the Premier of the British Virgin Islands, the Hon. Ralph T. O’Neal, OBE. Premier O’Neal and his Press Secretary, Mr. Devon Osborne are also attending the 51st Meeting of the OECS Authority.

Prime Minister Douglas has been in constant touch with other leaders in the OECS. While waiting at the VIP Lounge for the aircraft to arrive from the Terrence B. Lettsome International Airport, Beef Island, Tortola, Dr. Douglas spoke by phone with the Prime Ministers of Antigua and Barbuda and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Chief Minister of Montserrat and the Director General of the OECS Secretariat.
