Police Cracking Down on Bad Cops

ZIZ News…July 12, 2010 – The acting Commissioner of Police says the force shows no mercy when it comes to officers who break the law.

Speaking with ZIZ commissioner Stafford Liburd said the recent arrest of Kern Cabey and the dismissal of an officer who lied about a shooting at government headquarters show that the force takes these matters very seriously.

“We are dealing with such internal matters with discipline or criminal actions with seriousness. And that irrespective of whether you are a police officer or a citizen, if you break the law you will be charged,” he said.

He says he and the police high command are very upset about the officers’ actions and they want the public to know that they will always take serious action whenever an officer breaks the law.
