Police identifies burnt remains as that of Jakeel Alford

ZIZ News…June 19 2012 — Following an analysis of burnt remains found in the White Gate area the police have identified the body as that of 17 year old Jakeel Alford of St. Pauls.

Jakeel Alford was last seen early in the morning on June 7.

On Thursday June 14 the burnt remains of Jakeel Alford was found in a well in the White Gate area by a joint team consisting of the Police and Defence Force.

The team was alerted to a disturbed area that looked like it was set on fire and began to search when they discovered the body believed to be that of the missing teenager from St. Pauls.

Press and Public Relations Officer Sgt. Stephen hector told ZIZ News on Monday, further investigations will continue to find out the exact cause of death.

Prior to finding the body a search was conducted on the 8th June 2012 for 17 yr old Jakeel Alford by family members of Jakeel along with the Police K9 Unit.

Three persons two of which are juveniles were taken into police custody in connection with the missing 17yr old. The investigation is still on-going.
