Police Investigating Shooting Incident Involving Juvenile

The police are investigating an incident in which a teenager was shot and injured over the weekend.

According to reports, on Sunday police responded to a report of a shooting at the old Basseterre High School grounds at about 1:30am.

The police say the 17-year-old was on the premises when two to three gunmen opened fire at him. He was shot once in the forearm.

The juvenile was transported to the JNF General Hospital where he was treated for his injury.

Members of the Crime Scene Unit visited and processed the scene.
