Police looking into two recent homicides

ZIZ News…Oct 14 2011 – Police are investigating two recent homicides which took place between Thursday night and early Friday morning.

On Thursday evening a young man in his late teens was shot and killed at Mad House Alley in Newtown. A number of persons in the area said they heard the sounds of bullets only to find out later that another young man was shot and killed.

Meanwhile early this morning a popular figure in the village community, Noel Zamba Heath, who is in his early sixties, was shot and killed outside his home on Cardin Avenue. ZIZ News understands that he received multiple gun shot wounds to his body.

As the news broke this morning many persons gathered at his residence and at the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he was taken by a family member.

Police are carrying out investigations into the two latest homicides and a number of shooting incidents on Thursday night.
