Police officer shot; one in custody

(ZIZ News) — The police are investigating a shooting incident of an officer while on duty early this morning.

According to sources the officer is 33-year-old Brian Pacquet from Ottley’s.

Ziz understands that the officer was reportedly on duty apprehending a suspect when a struggle ensued and the suspect allegedly shot the officer with his own gun.

The suspect was detained at the scene and is in custody. The police say a full investigation will be undertaken and further details will be released later.

The officer remains hospitalized in a critical but stable condition.

The police are appealing to the public for any information that may help with this matter.
