Police on Nevis investigates throwing of Molotov Cocktail on station’s premises

Investigation-1Basseterre, St. Kitts — The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is investigating an incident in which a bottle of molotov cocktail was thrown on the Charlestown Police Station compound about 4:35 PM yesterday (Tuesday 8 July 2014) . One (1) juvenile was taken into police custody and will face charges for this act of terrorism and attack on the station.

Assistant Commissioner of Police for Nevis, Mr Robert Liburd stated that this act is a very serious act and will be treated as an act of Terrorism and an attack on Law Enforcement and the Country as a whole, and will not be left unchecked.

Commissioner CG Walwyn stated that the resources that are available will be utilised to investigate this daring and traitorous act and the police and the state. A thorough investigation is ongoing and all the relevant and necessary charges will be brought against the person or persons involved.
