Police Responded To Reports Of A Shooting Incident That Left A 24 Year Old Man Hospitalized And Nursing Gunshot Injuries

Police Press and Public Relations Officer, inspector Lyndon David told ZIZ, sometime after 8 last night, officers of the Special Services Unit, the Criminal Investigation Division, the Violent Crimes Unit and the Basseterre Police Station responded to the incident in an alley at Baker’s Corner.

The alley runs from Lozack Road to King Street.

Inspector David said initial investigation revealed two armed men attacked, the 24 year old man who is originally from Neverson Street but resides at Baker’s Corner.

The police are saying there is no one in custody at the moment, but investigations into the matter are continuing.

In the meantime, anyone who knows anything about the incident is asked to contact the violent crimes unit at 662-9336 or 465-2241 ext. 230.
