(ZIZ News) — Autopsy Performed

On 19th January 2015 an autopsy was performed by Forensic Pathologist, Dr Valery Alexandrov, on the body of the late Elroy Malone of Willete’s Project, St. Pauls. It was concluded that the cause of death was due to multiple homicidal chop wounds to the head. An investigation in the matter is on-going.

Fatal Accident

Officers of Nevis Traffic Department responded to a report made of a traffic accident that occurred at Belle Vue, in the vicinity of the Nevis Academy on the 19th January 2015.

Initial investigation reveals that Motor Car P2621 owned and driven by Vern Powell of Main Street, Gingerland was travelling from Delta Gas Station to Bath Hotel, when he lost control of the vehicle at the mentioned address above, which resulted in the car colliding into a utility pole and overturned a number of times before it came to rest.

Assistance was sought from Fire and Rescue Service, who used the Jaws of Life to free Mr. Powell’s body from the vehicle. The District Medical Doctor visited the scene and pronounced him dead. The body was removed by Elliotts Funeral Home and escorted to the Hospital Morgue. The scene was processed by Crime Scene Unit. Damages and Measurements were recorded.

Meanwhile: On 19th January 2015, Officers of Traffic Department responded to a report made of traffic accident, which occurred by the junction of Main Road and Sahdwell Road at around3:15pm.

Initial investigation reveals that P2212 owned and driven by Tishon Morris of Tabernacle was travelling from St. Peters to Basseterre when he overtook a passenger bus and collided head on with P3711 owned by Conrod Bertie of Jessups, Nevis and driven by Hassani Bertie of Buckley’s Estate, who was travelling in the opposite direction. Both drivers along with a passenger of P3711 sustained injuries and was transported to JNF by EMS for treatment.

Explanations, measurements, damages, observations and injuries were recorded. The driver of P2212 was served with a Notice of Intended Prosecution for Driving Without Due Care and Attention.
